Equine Massage

Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues to aid in decreasing physical dysfunction and pain as well as develop, maintain and rehabilitate soft tissues and associated structures.

  • Decrease adhesions
  • Eliminate trigger points
  • Address compensatory changes and chronic injuries
  • Decrease pain
  • Increases oxygen and nutrients to tissues

  • Relax and or stimulate the nervous and muscular system
  • Balance muscle groups and improve posture



Sessions

First massage session

The first massage session takes approx. 1.5 hours. During this time your horse will be assessed with a case history,  movement, range of motion, palpations and then proceed to a full body massage. You will also be given stretches to work on between appointments

Subsuquent sessions

Subsequent sessions are approx. 1 hour and entail massaging areas most needed or whole body, range of motion and given stretches and exercises to work on between appointments
